Journey to the African Rift Valley and go kayaking and boat cruise trip on Lake Kivu. A journey of discovery and paddle peacefully along the spectacular coast of one of Africa’s Great Lakes and witness the verdant landscape, vibrant local communities, birds, and islands of Lake Kivu as well as Nyamyumba hot spring.

ONE DAY DETAILED TRIP TO LAKE KIVU

At 8:30 AM you will leave Kigali (from your hotel or apartment) heading to Rubavu town located at the Western side of Rwanda through the North where you will have a nice view to different places, including the volcanoes.

By arriving at Lake Kivu, you will do boat cruise where you will see on their way the beauty of the Lake Kivu, including a view to the hills and volcanoes on the side of DRC and Rwanda. A stopover to Nyamyumba hot spring will be done where travelers can enjoy laying in hot water or even have a Rwandan traditional healing massage.

After boat cruise the lunch will be served before embarking on the journey coming back to Kigali (around 4 PM).

Bring a hat, sunscreen and wear light clothes – such as shorts and a t-shirt that can get wet and a change of clothes to change into at the end.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Booking Confirmation

To confirm a booking, a deposit of 70% of the total cost of the tour is required. And the balance of 30% has to be paid 30 days before the tour start date. If the booking is being confirmed within 30 days to the tour start date, then the total tour cost should be paid in full.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Any cancellation must be done via the email of Thinko Tours and Travels, and the cancellations for paid bookings will be refunded less the cancellation fees for administration cost and other costs as below:

You understand and accept when booking through us that you are bound by our supplier’s terms and conditions and accordingly any policies they may have on cancellation charges.

• Cancellation fee of 30% if the tour is cancelled within 30 days and above prior to the arrival date;
• Cancellation fee of 50% if the tour is cancelled between 16 and 30 days prior to the arrival date;
• Cancellation fee of 100% if the tour is cancelled within 15 days and less prior to the arrival date

The refund will be done to the same account and using the same mode which was used for the payments. Note that there is no refund in the event of a no show for the existing reservations.
