Day 1: Kigali City Excursion & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

9:00 AM: Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at your Kigali hotel. You will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide and given a brief overview of your 3-day adventure.

Kigali City Excursion: Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour of Kigali, including visits to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, craft markets, and museums. After this enriching experience, you’ll have a delightful lunch.

Transfer to Volcanoes National Park: Post-lunch, travel to your lodge in Ruhengeri, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. Settle into your accommodation and unwind.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & Iby’Iwacu Village Community Visit

Early Morning Preparation: Enjoy breakfast and prepare for a day of adventure. Pack snacks and bottled water for your trek.

Gorilla Trekking: Head to Kinigi for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. At 8:00 AM, your expert guide will lead you into the bamboo forest in search of one of Volcanoes National Park’s 13 gorilla families. Once located, you will spend one hour observing and photographing these magnificent creatures.

Community Visit: After the trek, return to the lodge to relax and share your experiences. Later in the evening, embark on a cultural tour of Iby’Iwacu Village, where you’ll gain insight into traditional Rwandan life.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking & Departure

Golden Monkey Tracking: Enjoy a 2-4 hours search for these playful primates, including one hour of close-up observation. After this exciting experience, return to check out of your lodge.

Transfer to Kigali: Travel back to Kigali for your departure flight, concluding your Rwandan adventure.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Booking Confirmation

To confirm a booking, a deposit of 30% of the total cost of the tour is required. And the balance of 70% has to be paid 30 days before the tour start date. If the booking is being confirmed within 30 days to the tour start date, then the total tour cost should be paid in full.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Any cancellation must be done via the email of Thinko Tours and Travels, and the cancellations for paid bookings will be refunded less the cancellation fees for administration cost and other costs as below:

You understand and accept when booking through us that you are bound by our supplier’s terms and conditions and accordingly any policies they may have on cancellation charges.

• Cancellation fee of 30% if the tour is cancelled within 30 days and above prior to the arrival date;
• Cancellation fee of 50% if the tour is cancelled between 16 and 30 days prior to the arrival date;
• Cancellation fee of 100% if the tour is cancelled within 15 days and less prior to the arrival date;
• Payment for Gorilla Permits is nonrefundable.
