One of the oldest rainforests in Africa, Nyungwe is rich in biodiversity and spectacularly beautiful. The mountainous region is teaming with wildlife, including a small population of chimpanzees as well as 12 other species of primate, including the Lhotse’s monkey endemic to the Albertine Rift. Despite the canopy walkway, it is a perfect paradise for the discerning travelers in search of the quiet place to reconnect with themselves and nature.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Pickup and Transfer to Nyungwe for Canopy Walk
At 6:30 AM, We will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali towards Nyungwe National Park, south west. The distance between Kigali and Nyungwe National park is approximately 230 Km, and the duration for a trip is between 5-6 hours, including a lunch break enroute to the park. Arrive at Uwinka visitor’s center in Nyungwe at 2:30PM and go for the canopy walk tour to over view the beauty of this tropical rainforest, beautiful hills, tea plantations, impenetrable areas.
In the evening, check in and overnight in Chimpanzee Lodge or Nyungwe Top View Hill Hotel.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking, Bird watching and transfer back to Kigali
Early morning, pick up from the hotel and heading to the reception of the Park for briefing and start with Chimpanzee trekking as well as other species of primates on the way, birds watching of 300 species, 29 of them are endemics in Albertine rift and big varieties of plants.
Afternoon, you will be driven back to Kigali and drop you off to the hotel.

Payment Policy
- The deposit of 80% as an advance is required at the time of booking. The balance or final payment of 20% is due at the day of the tour;
- In case payment is done by debit / credit card, additional fee of 3% is required;
- The copy of proof of payment required and sent to the company’s business email (info@thinkotours.com) in order to confirm the booking.
Cancellation Policy
In the event that you decide to cancel a trip after booking it, certain cancellation charges will be payable to our supplier as your payments are immediately used to obtain lodging, tours and services at the best rates.
You understand and accept when booking through us that you are bound by our supplier’s terms and conditions and accordingly any policies they may have on cancellation charges.
- Cancellation fee of 25% if the trip is cancelled less than 90 days prior to the arrival;
- Cancellation fee of 50% if the trip is cancelled less than 60 days prior to the arrival;
- Cancellation fee of 100% if the trip is cancelled less than 45 days prior to the arrival;
- Payment for Gorilla Permits is nonrefundable.
