Distance from Kigali to Volcano national park is about 120Km, around 2.5 hours driving from Kigali.

Detailed One Day Itinerary to Volcanoes National Park

The journey begins as early as 4 AM local time from Kigali City to Kinigi/Musanze to trek endangered mountain gorillas. We expect arrival to RDB Office Kinigi around 6:30AM for registration, allocation into groups and briefing from the park guide. We also advise you to be in good physical condition before starting the activity because it might be tough depending on the gorilla group you are assigned. Long sleeve shirts and pants, gaiters, hand gloves, rain jackets, and hiking boots are recommended for gorilla trekking. The hike usually takes 4 to 6 hours

After your gorilla trekking experience and lunch, you will visit Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village, a key feature that makes Rwanda safaris exceptional. This 1-hour cultural tour gives you a rare chance to meet local people in their environment and experience their culture and traditions. Be genuinely welcomed by the community as they proudly present aspects of their traditions and beliefs. You will interact with local people and participate in their daily activities, providing a deeper understanding of Rwandan culture.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Booking Confirmation

To confirm a booking, a deposit of 70% of the total cost of the tour is required. And the balance of 30% has to be paid 30 days before the tour start date. If the booking is being confirmed within 30 days to the tour start date, then the total tour cost should be paid in full.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Any cancellation must be done via the email of Thinko Tours and Travels, and the cancellations for paid bookings will be refunded less the cancellation fees for administration cost and other costs as below:

You understand and accept when booking through us that you are bound by our supplier’s terms and conditions and accordingly any policies they may have on cancellation charges.

• Cancellation fee of 30% if the tour is cancelled within 30 days and above prior to the arrival date;
• Cancellation fee of 50% if the tour is cancelled between 16 and 30 days prior to the arrival date;
• Cancellation fee of 100% if the tour is cancelled within 15 days and less prior to the arrival date;
• Payment for Gorilla Permits is nonrefundable.
