Peter Greenberg, who serves as the travel editor for Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) News, a subsidiary of the American television and radio network CBS, is presently in Rwanda participating in the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Summit. The summit is scheduled from Wednesday, November 1, to Friday, November 3.

A well-known travel journalist, Greenberg, recently conveyed his enthusiasm for being in Rwanda through a social media update. He expressed his joy at the prospect of reuniting with the team responsible for gorilla tracking, with special mention of his tour guide, Francois. Notably, Francois had guided him and President Kagame during the filming of ‘The Royal Tour.’

During this journey, Greenberg embarked on an adventurous gorilla tracking expedition, capturing memorable moments, including a remarkable silverback gorilla encounter at an altitude of 7,000 feet.

On Thursday at 12 pm ET, he is scheduled to provide live Global Travel Updates from Kigali, broadcasting the event across his various social media platforms.

Peter Greenberg’s involvement in the WTTC Summit goes beyond his passion for travel; he will also serve as a moderator for several sessions.

Greenberg is widely recognized for his television work, including the PBS series ‘The Royal Tour,’ where he offers viewers a unique opportunity to join him on personal tours of various countries, guided by their respective Heads of State. Some of the world leaders featured in this series include Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame, New Zealand’s Helen Clark, Israel’s Benjamin Netanyahu, Abdullah II of Jordan, Peru’s Alejandro Toledo, Mexico’s Felipe Calderón, Poland’s Mateusz Morawiecki, and Tanzania’s Samia Suluhu Hassan.

Additionally, Greenberg is renowned for producing and hosting ‘The Travel Detective,’ a program broadcast on public television stations.

Throughout his career, Greenberg has contributed to prominent media organizations like NBC Universal and ABC News. Furthermore, he is the owner and CEO of Peter Greenberg Worldwide.
