Tanzanian music sensation Diamond Platnumz, who arrived in Kigali last night, is set to perform alongside The Ben at the upcoming Trace Awards held tonight at BK Arena, according to sources from The New Times.

Videos of the two artists conducting their sound check at the BK Arena have been making rounds on social media. A reliable source mentioned that one of the highlights of the performance will be “Why,” The Ben’s chart-topping song featuring Diamond Platnumz. This collaboration is the driving force behind their shared stage presence at the event.

“Why” was produced in January 2022 by the renowned producer Madebeats and has become The Ben’s most significant musical achievement since entering the industry.

Diamond Platnumz has traveled to Kigali with his mother, affectionately known as ‘Mama Dangote,’ as well as three of his children, all of whom are expected to be present at the Trace Awards.

This event marks Diamond Platnumz’s first appearance on stage alongside The Ben since their hit song “Why” was produced in 2022.

The event is just hours away, featuring performances by some of Africa’s most prominent musicians, including Davido, Rema, The Compozers Band, and many more.
