The roster for the Move Afrika: Rwanda event, orchestrated by Global Citizen, included Rwandan artists Bruce Melodie and Ariel Wayz, DJ Toxxyk, renowned choreographer Sherrie Silver, and Tanzanian vocalist Zuchu.

“In the context of focusing on the theme of well-being,” he expressed, “health stands out as a valuable resource. Africa has the potential to overcome many of its challenges.

“I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and honor the community health workers who play a crucial role in maintaining our health and safety. Across the continent, there has been a concerted effort to prioritize health, with countries allocating 15% of their national budgets for this purpose. I am pleased to serve as the health financing champion for the African Union.”

“We have numerous issues that we can tackle collaboratively. By joining forces, our continent gains strength and can effectively confront the majority of our challenges,” remarked Kagame.

Will Move Afrika be making a comeback in Kigali?

The President suggested that additional Move Afrika events might be held in Kigali.

“We anticipate welcoming global citizens to Kigali annually through Move Afrika. We look forward to collaborating with everyone, and we hope you all feel at home. We also hope to have the pleasure of seeing you again in the near future.”

He extended his wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to the crowd.
