Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by our guide/driver and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay. The distance from the airport to the hotel takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes.

Day 2: Transfer to Akagera National Park for Half-Day Game Drive and Night Game Drive

After breakfast at 6:00 AM, your driver-guide will take you on a scenic drive to Akagera National Park, which takes about 3 hours. Following registration and a briefing at the park reception, you will embark on a half-day game drive, where you’ll encounter zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species. At around 1:00 PM, enjoy lunch at Akagera Game Lodge and check in. Later, at 5:30 PM, set off for a thrilling night game drive, offering the chance to spot nocturnal animals such as leopards, hyenas, and lions.

Day 3: Boat Cruise and Full-Day Game Drive

After an early breakfast at 7:00 AM, start with a short game drive before heading to Lake Ihema for a boat cruise. Discover the beauty of Lake Ihema, the second largest lake in Rwanda, renowned for its large population of hippos. Learn about the symbiotic relationships between hippos, crocodiles, and aquatic birds. Following the boat cruise, enjoy a full-day game drive, traveling from the southern to the northern parts of the park. This drive offers opportunities to see the Big Five and other wildlife, with scenic views of rolling hills, plains, and lakes. Overnight at Karenge Bush Camp.

Day 4: Early Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kigali

Booking Confirmation:

To confirm your booking, a deposit of 70% of the total tour cost is required. The remaining 30% must be paid 30 days before the tour start date. For bookings made within 30 days of the tour, full payment is required.

Cancellation & Refund Policy: Cancellations must be communicated via email to Thinko Tours and Travels. Refunds will be processed minus cancellation fees:

30% cancellation fee if canceled 30 days or more before the arrival date

50% cancellation fee if canceled between 16 and 30 days before the arrival date

100% cancellation fee if canceled within 15 days of the arrival date

Refunds will be processed to the original payment account and mode. No refunds are provided for no-shows.
