Detailed 2 days tour to Umva Muhazi:

Day one: Visit Imigongo Arts Center  

At 9 AM, you will embark your journey from Kigali to Imigongo Arts Center, try your hand at traditional Rwandan art when you take this Imigongo painting class during your time in Kigali. Join a small group and learn about Imigongo, a form of traditional Rwandan art that was first created using cow dung. In this class, you’ll be using paint instead of cow dung, but still creating the classic geometric shapes that characterize the art style to make your own masterpiece where you will buy souvenirs of different art things.

After lunch at Imigongo Arts Center and Coffee you will continue the trip to Umva Muhazi for check in.

MASSAGE

In the evening after free time you will simply enjoy the 60 minute massage because…  Look no further. In a secluded part of the lodge stands the massage parlor overlooking the lake and the nearby valley.

DAY TWO: BIRDS WATCHING, TENNIS AND KAYAKING + TRANSFER TO KIGALI

Umva Muhazi is located in one of the most stunning parts of the country, rich in both flora and fauna. Without leaving you will be taken aback by the sheer number of bird species around.

CLAY TENNIS COURT

In the morning after birds watching you will have a tennis court, grab a racquet (or bring your own), grab a partner and serve some balls while enjoying the panoramic lake view. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting on your tennis journey, head to UMVA Muhazi’s tennis court for a game of singles or doubles. Whoever you can Book a lesson with one of our coaches (additional fee applied).

KAYAKING

At 11 AM: You will do Kayaking by navigating the serene and calm water branches of Lake Muhazi with your own watercraft.  Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned water rower, we have both sit-on and sit-in kayaks and optional guides to launch you into a day of beautiful views and sore arms.

After lunch at Umva Muhazi, you will leave at 4 PM heading to kigali to your hotel or apartment.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Payment Policy

• Deposit of 80% as an advance is required at the time of booking. The balance or final payment of 20% is due at the day of the trip before leaving Kigali;
• If the reservation is made within 45 days prior to the arrival date, full payment is required at the time of booking;
• In case payment is done by debit / credit card, additional fee of 3% is required;
• The copy of proof of payment required and sent to the company’s business email (info@thinkotours.com) in order to confirm the booking.

Cancellation Policy

In the event that you decide to cancel a trip after booking it, certain cancellation charges will be payable to our supplier as your payments are immediately used to obtain lodging, tours and services at the best rates.

You understand and accept when booking through us that you are bound by our supplier’s terms and conditions and accordingly any policies they may have on cancellation charges.

• Cancellation fee of 25% if the trip is cancelled less than 90 days prior to the arrival;
• Cancellation fee of 50% if the trip is cancelled less than 60 days prior to the arrival;
• Cancellation fee of 100% if the trip is cancelled less than 45 days prior to the arrival;
• Payment for Gorilla Permits is nonrefundable.
