This Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Safari takes you into the biodiverse Volcanoes National Park to spend time with the endangered African mountain gorillas – one of the rarest and most poignant wildlife encounters on the planet and end up enjoying the scenery view and atmosphere of Twin Lakes in the northern part of Rwanda.

Your unforgettable gorilla trekking experience is combined with a trek to see the endemic golden monkeys of Volcanoes Park, as well as a city tour of Kigali, the clean and modern capital of Rwanda. An incredible primate, rainforest and city adventure in beautiful Rwanda.

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in and relaxation.

Day 2: Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Musanze

After breakfast, begin the city tour with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial and the Campaign Against Genocide Museum. After lunch, transfer to Musanze (2-hour drive), the gateway to Volcanoes National Park.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking & Cultural Tour (Optional)

Early morning transfer to the RDB Office for registration and briefing before trekking mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park. After trekking, enjoy lunch at Migano Restaurant and visit the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village for an optional cultural experience.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Trekking & Sunset Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast, head to the park for golden monkey trekking on the slopes of Mount Sabyinyo. Following lunch, enjoy a sunset boat cruise on Ruhondo Lake before checking in at My Hill Eco Lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Kigali & Departure

After breakfast, check out and return to Kigali with a short stopover in Musanze for lunch before heading to the airport for departure.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Payment Policy

• 100% payment for the gorilla trek permits is required upon confirmation (US$ 1,500. – each);
• For the other servicers, 80% is also required at the time of booking. The balance or final payment of 20% is due at arrival in Kigali after checking in at the hotel;
• If the reservation is made within 45 days prior to the arrival date, full payment is required at the time of booking;
• In case payment is done by debit / credit card, additional fee of 3% is required;
• The copy of proof of payment required and sent to the company’s business email (info@thinkotours.com) in order to confirm the booking.

Cancellation Policy

In the event that you decide to cancel a trip after booking it, certain cancellation charges will be payable to our supplier as your payments are immediately used to obtain lodging, tours and services at the best rates.

You understand and accept when booking through us that you are bound by our supplier’s terms and conditions and accordingly any policies they may have on cancellation charges.

• Cancellation fee of 25% if the trip is cancelled less than 90 days prior to the arrival;
• Cancellation fee of 50% if the trip is cancelled less than 60 days prior to the arrival;
• Cancellation fee of 100% if the trip is cancelled less than 45 days prior to the arrival;
• Payment for Gorilla Permits is nonrefundable.
